World Book Day 2021

Celebrating World Book Day – Share a Story

At Esher High School, one of our goals is to encourage all students to develop a love of reading. One of our key initiatives to do this is to promote and celebrate World Book Day each year. This year it is on Thursday 4 March 2021. If you wish to participate at home, below are some tips on sharing a story. Or you may wish to share a chapter from your favourite book.  You could also listen to one of our teachers reading a chapter from their favourite book, by clicking on the Book Title link below!

Read for Good - Readathon

Our Christian ethos and the late Captain Sir Tom Moore has inspired us to help the community. As a result Esher High School have been taking part in a Readthon as part of World Book Day.  Read for Good sponsored read is a brilliant way to get reading and raising funds to help provide much-needed books and storytellers for our nearest major children’s hospital. Based on the total amount we collectively raise, Esher High School will also receive a 20% voucher off books for the Hub.
