Health and Well Being

As the lockdown continues to ease  and we find ourselves with more freedom but still living within the parameters of government guidelines and with the summer holidays approaching, we hope you will find these resources a support during this challenging period.

The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service are offering some Summer Workshops to support your child's mental well being.  Please refer to the attachment below to find out more information and how to register.

Many of us, adults and children alike, will be spending more time online at the moment, so it is essential we remember the risks attached to our children accessing certain websites, apps and social media.  However, there are steps you can take to protect your child.

Also in the attachments below is an article containing links to a series of videos that CAMHS have put together for parents/guardians on:

  • What is Anxiety
  • Strategies to manage Anxiety
  • Anxiety in the context of Covid 19
  • Transitions to a new School
  • Returning to School following lockdown & Covid 19

The videos are suitable for all age groups. Once you have watched the video there is the opportunity to sign up to live virtual Q&A sessions with a CAMHS clinician to give you an opportunity to ask questions.  CAMHS hope to add more videos to the playlist over summer on other topics also, and we will continue to post the links on this page.
