In Year Admissions
Thank you for your interest in joining Esher High School as an in year-admission. We understand that starting mid-year can feel daunting, but it can also be an exciting opportunity, and we are here to help your child settle in smoothly.
To apply, please visit the Surrey County Council website, complete the CMA form, and submit it to the council as an in-year admission. Full details are available here: Surrey County Council – In-Year Admissions
You will receive a response within 10 school days regarding whether a place can be offered. If a place cannot be offered, information about the appeal process will also be provided on the Surrey County Council website.

Waiting lists are kept for all year groups and applicants are ranked according to our current admissions criteria, which can be found in our admissions policy. The applicant at the top of the list will be contacted if there is a vacancy in the appropriate year group. We will maintain our waiting lists until the last day of the summer term, after which they will be cancelled. If you would like your child's name to be included on the waiting list for the next academic year you must submit a new in-year application.
In the event that we are unable to offer a place, there is an appeals procedure that gives a parent the right of appeal. Appeals should be lodged with Surrey Schools Appeals Service.
We warmly invite prospective families to visit and experience our vibrant learning community first-hand. We offer monthly school tours, click here to view our upcoming tour dates and times.
