We are delighted to celebrate another strong year of GCSE and vocational success at Esher CofE High School. Our 2026 results reflect the hard work, ambition and resilience of our students, supported by the dedication of their teachers, tutors, support staff and families.

This summer, 75% of students achieved grade 4 or above in both English and Maths, with 48% achieving grade 5 or above in both subjects. Across the wider curriculum, 23% of grades at grade 7 and above, matching the national figure for the highest grades.

There were particular strengths in English, where 83% of students achieved grade 4 or above, and in Maths, where 77% achieved grade 4 or above. Students also achieved 281 grades at 8 or 9, including 91 grade 9s, a superb achievement at the very highest level.

We are especially proud that these outcomes sit alongside positive progress indicators, including strong performance from high prior attainers and encouraging progress in English, EBacc subjects and a number of individual curriculum areas.

The results are very strong and in line with the overall trajectory over previous years, a sign that our students continue to perform above the national average.

The percentage of students entered for the English Baccalaureate (EBacc) was 61% (against a national average of 40.5%), while our EBacc average point score was 5.12, against the average of 4.08.
