We are seeking to appoint an individual who will take full responsibility for the DT department who is highly motivated and enjoys working as part of a supportive team. We are looking for a charismatic, dynamic individual with exceptional leadership skills, who naturally inspires others and is passionate about teaching and its impact on learning. 

The department offers all areas of D&T at KS3 and GCSEs in 3D Design and Food Preparation & Nutrition alongside Vocational Hospitality & Catering and Construction. Over the last few years, the department has seen a significant increase in results and a rise in numbers opting for KS4.

We work hard to make all staff feel like they belong and can flourish. We create a bespoke induction plan for all new staff, shaped with their input based on their experience, strengths and aims. All teachers get an additional hour every fortnight of protected PPA, totalling 6 hours for a full-time teacher. We have a culture of 1% improvements, which means no hour long lesson observations and time wasted producing unnecessary paperwork. All staff love our 2 week October half term, have access to free gym use (with shower facilities), ample on site parking, an up to date 2 in 1 laptop (tablet with pen and laptop all in one), a full Microsoft Office package and a vibrant and social staff body.
