28 hours a week, term time only (37.6 weeks) 
Fixed term contract from March 2023 - March 2024 with potential to extend 
Salary PS6: (£27,897 to £30,048 FTE). Starting pro-rata salary £18,152 

Do you have a desire to work as part of a team supporting young people in our school?    

We are looking for a Senior Learning Support Assistant to work with an enthusiastic team of teachers and support staff, providing assistance to students with special needs, enabling them to achieve maximum access to the national curriculum and to integrate as fully as possible in the activities generally undertaken by students at the school. The department has 2 Senior LSAs in post already and we are looking to recruit a 3rd. Currently, each Senior LSA manages 1 or 2 areas strands of SEND. This position would involve overseeing the provision of students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) including interventions as well as supporting them in classrooms. Any experience of supporting of students with EAL within primary, secondary or another setting would be advantageous, however, we are willing to provide full training.

Previous experience of working with young people would be an advantage.  A good level of written and spoken English is required, together with numeracy skills. We offer a comprehensive induction programme for all new staff.
