Teacher of Geography

We are looking for someone with a clear passion for the subject, who can offer ideas on how to bring the curriculum to life and help continue our school journey from good to great.  

Esher High School is an oversubscribed high performing School.  Our Geography department is committed to getting the best outcomes for our students and creating well-rounded individuals who care for the world in which we live. With a supportive and collaborative team, offering a number of exciting fieldwork opportunities.  These have included coastal studies in West Wittering and urban change in Stratford, London, as well as residential trips abroad to ‚ÄčIceland and the Azores.  Geography is a very popular subject at KS3 and KS4. We are looking for someone with a clear passion for the subject, who can offer ideas on how to bring the curriculum to life and help continue our school journey from good to great.

This post would be suitable for either an experienced teacher or an NQT.   A comprehensive induction programme is provided for all new staff and time to participate in lesson observations and learning walks.  We are committed to continued professional development e.g. access to peer coaching, termly teaching and learning group meetings and bespoke personalised training.  In addition, NQTs have weekly timetabled meetings with their mentors and regular access to their Professional Tutor.
