We are delighted to announce our Head Students, Alex Goodwin and Tabby Hill.
Read on for their experiences at Esher High School.
Alex writes:
My journey through Esher High has been one of growth and challenges — and I wouldn’t change a thing. This school has shaped not only who I am academically, but also who I am as a person. I’ve developed confidence, independence, and resilience, and been supported every step of the way by people who genuinely care.
One of the highlights of my time here was the Ski Trip — an incredible opportunity to step outside my comfort zone, try something completely new, and make unforgettable memories with people I’d never even met before. And that’s just one of the many experiences Esher High makes possible.
Some of my proudest moments have happened in the classroom: achieving grades I worked hard for, and developing traits that go far beyond exam results — focus, empathy, and consistency. These are qualities I owe to the culture and support of this school.
What makes Esher High truly special is the support it offers — not just in lessons, but in life. Whether it’s a teacher staying behind to explain something again, or a tutor going above and beyond to help, you’re surrounded by people who believe in you.
As Headstudent, I want every voice to feel heard — no matter who you are. My aim is to represent everyone, help make real improvements where needed, and leave behind a legacy that future students can build on. That’s the kind of cycle I hope continues - support, growth, and belonging.

The teachers are passionate about creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where students feel empowered to explore their potential. We hope to encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity, preparing our students to become successful no matter their passion whether that’s law, science, art or into television presenting or performance. I hope this message gives you a glimpse into the vibrant life of our school, and I personally wish you the very best in yourself or your child’s journey through to adulthood.
