Your Post 16 Options
A Levels:
- Level 3 qualification
- Subject-based qualifications that can lead to university, further study, training, or work
- Study 3-4 subjects
- 2 years to complete
- Mainly exam based
- Level 3 qualification
- Over 40 subjects available
- Recognised worldwide
- Level 3 qualification - T'Level Subjects
- 2 years to complete
- Progress to University and Higher or Degree Apprenticeship
- Equivalent to 3 A-Levels
- A 45-day Industry Placement
- 80% Classroom, 20% Work
- 1 T level = 3 A Levels

BTEC Level 3
- Combines practical learning with subject and theory content
- BTEC Firsts: Levels 1 and 2, which are equivalent to GCSEs
- BTEC Nationals: Level 3, which is equivalent to A-Levels
- BTEC Nationals: Levels 4 and 5, which are equivalent to the first and second year of university
- Focused on Industry specific skills
- Gain Level 1, 2 and 3 qualifications
- Mainly practical with some classroom activity
- Some L3 courses attract UCAS points
- Develop Transferable skills
- Get work ready
- Available from Level 2 to Degree Level
- 1-4 years to complete
- Earn a salary
- 80% work and 20% study
