GCSE 2015/16 Headline Results

 

  • 62% of students achieved 5+ A*- C including English and Maths (12% increase on 2015)
  • 69% of students achieved A* - C in English and Maths
  • 7.4% of entries were A* (national 6.4%)
  • 68.1% of entries were A* - C (national 66.9%) 
  • 34% of students achieved the EBacc (32% in 2015)
  • 75% of students made expected progress or better in English
  • 75% of students made expected progress or better in Maths
  • 15 students received 9 or more A* - A grades
  • Progress 8 Score -0.21
  • Attainment 8 Score 50.0
  • Pupil destinations - pupils staying in education or going into employment 91%

Head teacher Mike Boddington is delighted saying “These results tell such a story. This cohort of students’ attainment scores when they started with us in Year 7 were within 2% of the national average.  Five years later they have achieved significantly better than the national average not only at A* - C, but at the A* level as well”.
