Bishop Andrew speaks to EHS Students

On the final day of the autumn term Bishop Andrew, the Bishop of Guildford Diocese, spoke at our whole school assembly.  His theme was one of recognising the king, ensuring that we see Christmas for what it really is.  The students (all 1050 of them) were attentive as he recounted serving one of the European royal family when working during his holidays in Harrods, not recognising him and the problems that ensued.  One of the Bishop’s points was that if you take Christ out of Christmas you are left with M&S.  It was a great opportunity for the students to hear from their bishop, but also for him to meet some of the key people in his diocese.
