- Ofsted Report
Esher C of E High School was inspected on the 7th March 2017 by Ofsted, the Government agency that visits schools and grades them on the quality of education they provide for students. Attached is the letter from Ofsted with their findings and below is a letter from Mr Boddington to our parents and guardians summarising the findings.

Re: Outcome of the Ofsted Inspection
You will no doubt recall that we had a short Ofsted inspection on 7 March: thank you all who completed the parent view survey to inform them further about our school. The report has now been published and I am pleased to be able to share it with you.
The key finding is that the school remains as it was at the last inspection: it is a Good School.
We are pleased by this outcome as the parameters for attaining this judgement have become more challenging since the last inspection and so this is a move forward rather than staying still. However, it is my ambition to use this as an opportunity to continue building the quality of education that the children enjoy for the school to become truly great.
Because the judgement of the school has remained the same, there is not a full detailed report divided into sections, but instead the outcome is a letter written to me as the Headteacher. You are invited to read it carefully bearing this in mind. There is much in the letter that is encouraging and it recognises the improvements that have been made particularly in the last two years and the effects that these are starting to have on the learning of our students. The letter also contains some advice about areas that the school should work on and we will act upon these. One aspect that inspectors noted was that we were already aware of these and that plans are in place to bring about these improvements.
Despite the letter being written to me, the real role of Ofsted is to inform you as parents objectively about the quality of the education that your children receive. I hope that you find much in here that will affirm all that we are developing and building at Esher Church of England High School. I am very mindful of the challenges that lie ahead and am ambitious to keep improving the school and enable all of your children to get the very best education that they deserve.
As we draw to the end of the term I wish you all a restful and peaceful Easter break.
