Need to talk to someone?
Our school counsellor is there to listen and help support you.
They will listen to you and try to understand without judging or criticising. Together you could find a way of making problems clearer and make a difference on how you feel about your life.
Students talk to our school counsellor about all sorts of issues and problems. No issue is too big or too small; it is how you feel about what is happening that is important.
All counselling at Esher C of E High is CONFIDENTIAL. This means what you talk to the school counsellor about is kept private. The only time our school counsellor will discuss what you talk about is if they feel you are in danger, or going to harm another person or yourself, and they will usually talk to you before they do talk to anyone else.
At Esher C of E High School our counsellor works for the school on behalf of the The Valley Trust Counselling Services. All counselling that takes place at Esher High School are by counsellors who follow the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
If you would like to meet and talk to the school counsellor let your Head of Year or Form Tutor know or speak directly to Mrs Matthews (Inclusion Officer) for an appointment, and we will try to arrange a time you can see her without lots of other students around. We will try and get you an appointment as soon as we can.
